[THIS IS A DRAFT] Every VSED journey is different. Some people die within days; others live longer. Some families provide most hands-on care; others need continuous professional presence. Our pricing is designed to be clear, flexible, and respectful of both family needs and the reality of holding time and availability during a VSED process.

VSED Planning & Holding Fee

$x–$x (sliding scale)

This fee reserves our collective for your VSED window (up to 21 days) and includes:

• Education and preparation—physical, practical, and emotional

• Assistance with Advance Directive, VSED Directive, and POLST

• Coordination with family and hospice

• Daily check-ins and on-call availability throughout

This fee applies regardless of whether death occurs in days or weeks and can be in person or remote.

Hands-On Doula Care (as needed)

$120-85/hour (sliding scale)

Families may choose to provide care themselves, request relief support, or request 24/7 support.  

When 24/7 presence is requested, care is provided by our three-doula team in coordinated shifts to ensure continuity. Approximately 25 hours of care per day allows overlap for handoff and continuity.  

Travel and lodging are discussed in advance. Mileage is $.70/mile and mid-range, nearby accomodations are needed if outside our immediate local area.
