Every VSED journey is different. Some people die within days; others live longer. Some families provide most hands-on care; others need continuous professional presence. Our pricing is designed to be clear, flexible, and respectful of both family needs and the reality of holding time and availability during a VSED process.

Prior to VSED 

VSED Planning Fee $2500

This fee covers practical, physical, and emotional support leading up to Day 1 of VSED, up to 25 hours, which may include:

• Consultation to outline personalized case management 

• Coordination with family, friends, hospice staff, doctor, clergy, professional caregivers, doulas

• Assistance with paperwork not yet completed, including Advance Directive, DPOA, POLST, VSED Directive, VSED Intent Statement (and video), VSED video to self

• Assistance with after death plans such as body disposition, grief support for loved ones, death certificate and obituary preparation 

• Assistance with setting up physical space to support client's comfort

VSED Retainer Fee $500

This non-refundable fee holds our collective's availability from Day 1 of VSED up to 21 days after. This fee is applied to the first 5 hours of VSED support beginning Day 1.

During and After VSED 

24/7 support is necessary during VSED but how you achieve this is customizable. Families may choose to provide care themselves, request relief support, or request 24/7 support. 

Hourly Doula Care $120-85 sliding scale

Our doula team will be with you and your loved ones throughout your VSED per pre-agreed schedule.  

During this time, our services may include: 

• Coordination of care with members of the VSED team (which can include trusted professional caregivers at $50-30/hour, depending on amount of daily coverage requested)

• Wholistic support (physical, emotional, spiritual) and on site presence to support a smooth and comfortable VSED process 

• Mindful after death care and home funeral guidance

• Assistance with body disposition, death certificate, obituary

• Greif support for loved ones 

Travel is included within 15 miles of our home addresses, and charged at $.70/mile beyond that. Lodging (mid-range, safe, nearby) is required for VSED cases outside our local area, which is sometimes available.
